DIY Creamsicles
There’s nothing like enjoying a cool treat on a hot summer day. And while it’s easy to run to the grocery store for a pint of your favorite frozen treat, your kids will be in awe when you show them how to prepare their own dessert. Jenna Wilber and two of her kiddos invited us to her kitchen to document the making of some summer Popsicles inspired by two of our PPB patterns, Electric Citrus and Sweet Rose. Click through to get both recipes!
What you’ll need for the Sweet Rose Pops:
Popsicle Sticks
Popsicle Molds, like this one
1 Large Container of Honey Greek Yogurt
2 tsp Rose Water
2 cups Raspberries
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Dried Rose Petals, food grade (optional)
What you’ll need for the Electric Citrus Pops:
Popsicle Sticks
Popsicle Molds, like this one
1 Large Container of Honey Greek Yogurt
2 Lemons
1/2 cup Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
2 tsp Turmeric (optional)
For both recipes, simply mix all ingredients into a blender. Blend until thoroughly mixed. Pour into Popsicle molds and then allow to freeze for 4-5 hours. For either Popsicle, you can set aside some honey yogurt and alternate pouring the colored mixture with the honey yogurt for a two-toned pop! Enjoy!
